Jabulani, Youth World Rhythm Ensemble Since forming in the summer of 2001, Jabulani has rapidly become one of North America’s leading world music youth ensembles with a growing repertoire of joyful, energetic Zimbabwean marimba music spiced with rhythms from Brazil, Cuba, and West Africa. The name Jabulani, from the Ndebele word for “be happy,” truly reflects the infectious exuberance of these young artists and the joyful message of their music.
